No key would work, I went to control panel. At the same time of the noise, the keyboard stopped working. It isn't all the time - when I started the laptop this morning it was quiet, then after about 20 minutes of use it started up.
Should I unplug this thing STAT and go to Best Buy to pickup one of those universal chargers, or what?Īlso, not sure if this is relevant but the headphone jack works fine, so I assume the circuitry wasn't damaged by this. Yesterday it started making a high pitched beeping noise, intermittently. I've had more chargers than I care to count and I can't recall this ever happening, though I've done some reading and understand it's not exactly rare. Some say this is the tell-tale sign of imminent charger failure/explosion, some say this is a common issue with chargers and there's nothing to worry about. I asked some of my friends and opinions are all over the place on this one. Now, when I plug it in, it makes a weird, high pitched noise you can listen here: I noticed this a few hours later when I went to use the laptop and realized it hadn't charged. I used it for 2 days, and went to charge it today, but I accidentally stuck the charger into the headphone jack instead. I got a Chuwi Lapbook Air to review on my youtube channel.
